Matsumoto Folkcraft Museum at Satoyamabe 1313-1, Matsumoto City, Nagano Prefecture (postal code 390-0221; telephone 0263-33-1569) exhibits wood, lacquer, ceramics, and glass folkcraft collections. Official visitor pages list hours from 9:00 to 17:00 with last entry at 16:30. Admission is 500 yen for high-school students and older and free for junior-high students and younger, or 450 yen for adult groups of 20 or more. Closed on Tuesdays (open on holiday Tuesdays and closed the following weekday) and from 29 December to 3 January. Confirm crowding limits for large groups before travel.
