Sumiyoshi Shrine

Sumiyoshi Taisha in Osaka is regarded as the head shrine of Sumiyoshi shrines throughout Japan. Its four main sanctuaries enshrine the three Sumiyoshi sea deities and Empress Jingu, and are built in the distinctive Sumiyoshi-zukuri style. The steeply arched Sorihashi Bridge is another well-known feature of the grounds.
