Shukkeien is a historic Japanese garden in central Hiroshima. It was created in 1620 as the villa garden of Hiroshima domain lord Asano Nagaakira and was designed by the tea master Ueda Soko. Its ponds, bridges, tea houses, and miniature landscapes present changing scenery through the seasons.
