Kanazawa Castle was the residence of the Maeda family, who ruled over territories in Kaga, Noto, and Etchu. The park features historical structures protected as important cultural properties and a variety of stone walls referred to as a museum of stonework. The grounds include beautiful gardens that change appearance with the seasons and ongoing restoration projects using traditional craftsmanship.
