Children's Peace Monument

Located in Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park, the Children's Peace Monument is a nine-meter tall structure also known as the Tower of Thousand Cranes. The monument features bronze figures of children and is associated with Sadako Sasaki, whose actions helped establish origami cranes as symbols of peace. It receives approximately 10 million paper cranes annually from people worldwide. A stone tablet at the base contains an inscription expressing a plea for world peace.
