Matsuura Takeshirō Memorial Museum presents the life of explorer Matsuura Takeshiro, known as a father of the name Hokkaido. The museum is open with posted closed days each month (for example several weekdays in July-September) and collects related materials for visitors. Since opening it has preserved documents that show his wide-ranging travels and achievements.
