広島市現代美術館

Hiroshima City Museum of Contemporary Art opened on 3 May 1989 as Japan’s first public museum devoted fully to contemporary art. Official pages place the Kisho Kurokawa–designed building in green Hijiyama Park overlooking the city, describe materials that express civilizational time and “symbiosis,” and outline collecting focused on postwar contemporary art, Hiroshima-related works, and promising younger artists.
