Salt Road Chōjiya at Yokaichō 2572, Ōmachi City, Nagano Prefecture (postal code 398-0002; telephone 0261-22-4018) is a registered tangible cultural property townhouse that interprets the Chikuni salt road and the former Hirabayashi salt merchant residence. Official pages list admission at 500 yen for adults and 250 yen for elementary and junior-high students, with a 50 yen discount for groups of 20 or more. Hours are 9:00 to 16:30 (last entry 16:00) from April through October, and 9:00 to 16:00 (last entry 15:30) from November through March. Closed on Wednesdays and during year-end and New Year holidays. Confirm seasonal hours before travel.
