友泉亭公園

Yusentei Park in Jonan Ward is a quiet pond-stroll Japanese garden. Official pages say the Yusentei villa was built in the mid-Edo period by the sixth Kuroda lord of Chikuzen, Tsugutaka, and Fukuoka City opened the present park in 1981 as its first pond-stroll Japanese garden. About 3,000 tsubo today, it was registered as a Fukuoka City scenic spot in 1998, with a Showa-era main building whose large hall overlooks seasonal views. Confirm hours and cultural-use bookings before you go.
