Minatogawa Shrine in Kobe enshrines the Nanbokucho-period general Kusunoki Masashige, remembered as Nanko and praised for wisdom, benevolence, and courage. Official pages note it is among Hyogo's busiest shrines for life-cycle rites such as safe childbirth, first shrine visits, Shichi-Go-San, and yakuyoke, and that more than one million worshippers come for New Year hatsumode.
