DIC川村記念美術館

Kawamura Memorial DIC Museum of Art in Sakura, Chiba, presents art collected by DIC Corporation and affiliates, with a focus on 20th-century works. Official materials say the museum opened in May 1990 on the company’s research campus as a harmony of collection, architecture, and nature. Founder Katsumi Kawamura (1905–1999), second-generation president of what was then Dainippon Ink and Chemicals, began collecting in earnest in the early 1970s to share art with the public.
