Bunkamura

Museums

Bunkamura in Shibuya opened in 1989 as Japan’s first large-scale complex for music, theater, art, and film under one roof. Official pages describe Orchard Hall, Theatre Cocoon, cinema spaces, museum and gallery venues, plus cafes and shops that made it a year-round cultural hub drawing millions of visitors. As of the current facility notice, most Bunkamura venues are in a long-term closure while Orchard Hall continues as the main active hall, so always check today’s lineup and access notes before you go rather than assuming the full complex is open.
