Hiroshima City Museum of History and Traditional Crafts focuses on the daily lives of people in Hiroshima City, a theme the official site contrasts with the city's strong post-atomic-bomb image. Housed in a handsome red-brick building designated a Hiroshima City Important Tangible Cultural Property, its first-floor permanent exhibition presents local industries such as oyster farming, mountain silk weaving, and kamoji making through valuable materials.
