松風園
Shofu-en is a Japanese garden with teahouses in Fukuoka’s Chuo Ward. Official pages say it opened for public use in Heisei 19 on the former Matsufusa villa grounds of Fukuoka Tamaya founder Zenhachi Tanakamaru, preserving the family’s Shofuan tearoom. Stone stairs lead to a garden imagined after Suruga Bay and Mount Fuji, with century-old maples, lanterns, and a rare natsume-shaped lantern. Tea rooms and open spaces are offered for cultural exchange; confirm hours and booking rules before you visit.
