Fujita Art Museum presents a collection built by Meiji-era industrialist Denzaburo Fujita and his sons. Official about pages say he collected to prevent cultural treasures from being lost abroad after the Meiji Restoration, and that the museum opened in 1954 to share those national treasures publicly; its earlier building reused family storehouses that survived the 1945 Osaka air raids.
