Aramatsuri-no-miya is the first of ten annex shrines belonging to the Naiku in Mie Prefecture. It enshrines the Aramitama of Amaterasu Omikami. The scale of its buildings is larger than other annex shrines, second only to the main sanctuary. Due to its status as the primary annex shrine, it receives special treatment during major rituals and ceremonies, with offerings and procedures similar to those performed at the main sanctuary.
