八幡神社

Located in Yamato Town, Miyagi Prefecture, Hachiman Shrine is a Shinto shrine dedicated to Emperor Ojin. The site was originally the tutelary deity of the Iizaka branch of the former Date clan. In 1710, the current sanctuary buildings were constructed, featuring a hall, main hall, and stone room under a single roof. The architecture was designated as an important cultural property of Miyagi Prefecture in 1953 for its notable stone construction.
