Ujōda Shrine

宇治山田神社

Located in Mie Prefecture, Ujōda Shrine is a sanctuary of the Ise Jingu. The deity enshrined here is Yamadahime no Mikoto, a deity of water. The hill where the shrine is situated is called Okitama no Mori. The grounds also include the Nazeme Shrine, which houses the deities Ōminakamino-mioya-no-mikoto and Mimonosusohime-no-mikoto, who are said to be guardian deities of the waters of the Isumigawa River.
