Kanegasaki Stronghold History Museum introduces the history and culture of Kanegasaki Yogai, one of the Sendai domain’s 21 strongholds that guarded its northern edge under the domain’s yogai system of placing senior retainers instead of castles. Official pages say the samurai-residence-inspired building was constructed in 2013–2014 and opens 9:00–17:00.
