福知山城天守閣

Fukuchiyama Castle Keep presents the 1579 fortress of Akechi Mitsuhide, which was dismantled in early Meiji leaving stone walls and a copper-gate guardhouse until a three-story, four-floor keep was rebuilt in 1986 through a citizen roof-tile campaign. Official pages highlight Mitsuhide materials and local history inside, outstanding views from the watchtower, Kyoto Prefecture's only climbable keep on an original castle site, reused stone blocks in the walls, and hours 9:00-17:00 with last entry 16:30 and adult admission 360 yen.
