Located in Kojima, Okayama, the Betty Smith Jeans Museum is Japan's first museum dedicated to jeans. The facility displays historical items and panels explaining the history of jeans from their origin in America. Exhibits include a model that served as the prototype for Levi's 501XX and specialized sewing machines used during the early days of Japanese production.
