Located in Shimane Prefecture, the Murakami Residence Museum is a designated cultural property of Ama Town. The museum is housed in the former residence of the Murakami family, who became wealthy through shipping during the Edo period. The collection includes medieval documents and items related to historical figures from Kyoto, such as those associated with the court noble families.
