Located in Nemuro, Hokkaido, the Hoppōkan Museum and Nostalgia House are situated at Nosappu Cape. Due to frequent heavy fog in the area that often obscures views of nearby islands like Shikotan and Kunashiri, the museum displays materials and facilities related to the Northern Territories to help visitors recognize the region's geography.
