Arita History and Folklore Museum West is one of two history and folklore museums in Arita Town, Saga. Founded by former Nishi-Arita Town, it opened in 1978 (Showa 53) with the East building. After the 2006 merger, the West museum could not be staffed for budget reasons and is ordinarily closed. Visits for local history and folk materials are possible by prior reservation, with staff from the East building. It is at 2208-4 Tatebe-otsu, Arita-cho, Nishimatsuura-gun, Saga.
