二階堂美術館

Nikaido Museum of Art in Hiji Town, Oita, opened in October 1994 when Nikaido Shuzo made its long-collected artworks public as a local cultural contribution. Official pages call it one of Japan’s few museums dedicated to modern and contemporary nihonga, featuring artists such as Yokoyama Taikan, Takeuchi Seiho, Kawai Gyokudo, and Uemura Shoen, with hours from 9:00 to 17:00 (last entry 16:30).
