Located in Kanagawa Prefecture, Zama Shrine is historically known as Sagami no Iizuna-sama and originated from the Iizuna Gongen Shrine in Nagano Prefecture. The adjacent Zama Park is recognized as a famous spot for cherry blossoms and was selected as one of the eight scenic views of Zama in 1998. From the grounds, visitors can see scenery of mountains such as Oyama, Tanzawa, and Hakone, with the area also known for its beautiful sunsets.
