Rikuzentakata City Museum

陸前高田市立博物館

Located in Iwate Prefecture, the Rikuzentakata City Museum is a comprehensive museum that houses and displays materials related to local nature, history, and culture. Originally opened as the first registered public museum in the Tohoku region, it underwent significant damage during the 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake. The facility was subsequently reconstructed and reopened in November 2022.
