The Tatsuuma Archaeological Museum is a public-interest foundation museum established in 1976 by Etsuzo Tatsuuma (1892–1980). Official materials say he spent private funds to protect archaeological materials at risk of dispersal, loss, or export. The collection is valued for scholarly insight and has contributed to archaeological research; seasonal exhibitions present archaeology and related art, including Tomioka Tessai shows.
