興雲閣

Located in Matsue City, Shimane Prefecture, Kōunkaku is a wooden two-story building completed in 1903. Originally constructed as an exhibition hall for local crafts, the building features ornate decorations and carvings intended to serve as a residence for the Emperor. It later functioned as a guest house and public reception venue. The site was designated as a tangible cultural property of Shimane Prefecture in 1969.
