Ayaragigō Site

綾羅木郷遺跡

Located in Yamaguchi Prefecture, the Ayaragigō Site is a historic site featuring various burial mounds and reconstructed dwellings. The grounds include the Wakamiya Kofun group, which contains the keyhole-shaped mound known as Wakamiya No. 1, and Yayoi period mounded graves. Two pit dwellings from the Yayoi and Kofung periods are reconstructed to show differences between the two eras. Additionally, the site includes the Iwaya Kofun, a circular mound relocated from Shimonoseki City where visitors can view the stone chamber.
