The Silk Road Museum stands on the former residence site of silk merchant Yoemon Yagishita in Hachioji’s Yarimizu area. Official city pages describe reconstructed atmosphere around preserved stone walls, garden remains of storehouses and drains, indoor exhibits on the Silk Road and sericulture, free admission, and seasonal hours from 9:00 to 17:00 or 16:30.
