Tambasasayama Historical Art Museum occupies a former Meiji-era district courthouse that served from the 1870s until 1981 and ranks among Japan’s oldest surviving wooden courts. Official pages note its E-shaped plan with carriage porch and twin courtrooms, town cultural-property designation in March 1982, and reuse as a museum from April 1982 after the building was rotated ninety degrees by hikeya relocation. Galleries present local archaeology around Unbe Kurumazuka Kofun—including designated Han-style mirrors and horse gear—and materials of medieval Tanba ceramics.
