Tachineputa Museum in Goshogawara City, Aomori Prefecture, is at Omachi 506-10 (telephone 0173-38-3232) and presents giant Tachineputa festival floats year-round. Official hours for the float exhibition hall are 9:00 to 19:00 from April through September with last entry at 18:30, and 9:00 to 17:00 from October through March with last entry at 16:30. Closed on January 1, with earlier closings on August 13 and December 31. Float-hall admission is 800 yen for adults, 500 yen for high-school students, and 300 yen for elementary and junior-high students; a set ticket with the art gallery is 1000 / 500 / 300 yen. Ten-percent discounts apply for groups of 20 or more and other listed conditions. Confirm seasonal hours before travel.
