Iwafune Shrine

Iwafune Shrine in Katano, Osaka, enshrines Nigihayahi-no-Mikoto and treats the Ama-no-Iwafune rock as the sacred object. Cave viewing is accepted 10:00–15:00, cancelled in rain or high water, and limited to ages 10–74; solo visits are not allowed. Borrow a white sash and straw sandals at the shrine office. Confirm today’s cave status before you climb.
