Hakushika Memorial Museum of Sake

Hakushika Memorial Museum of Sake (Sake Museum) in Nishinomiya sits in the eastern part of Nada Gogo, Japan’s leading sake-producing district between the Rokko mountains and the Seto Inland Sea. Official materials say it opened in 1982 to pass on the history of sake brewing as living cultural heritage, preserving tools and documents inside historic sake storehouses. More than one million visitors have come, and local students also learn about the regional sake industry there; the museum likewise presents sake and cherry-blossom culture.
