Yukio Tabuchi Memorial Hall at Toyoshina Minamihotaka 5078-2, Azumino City, Nagano Prefecture (postal code 399-8201; telephone 0263-72-9964) opened in July 1990 to honor naturalist photographer and butterfly illustrator Yukio Tabuchi, with about 73000 works in the collection. Official pages list hours from 9:00 to 17:00. Admission is 310 yen for high-school students and older, or 200 yen for groups of 20 or more; junior-high students and younger, Azumino residents aged 70 and older, and visitors with disability certificates plus one attendant enter free. Closed on Mondays except public holidays, the day after public holidays, and from 28 December to 4 January. Confirm temporary closures before travel.
