武蔵国分寺跡

Musashi Kokubun-ji Remains are a nationally designated historic site in Kokubunji City, linked to the provincial temple ordered by Emperor Shōmu in Tenpyō 13 (741). Official pages say designation came in 1922, and the kondō foundation measured about 36 by 17 meters—among the largest of its kind. Parts are maintained as a municipal history park; confirm access areas before you visit.
