Higashi-Takane Forest Park

東高根森林公園

Located in the central part of Kawasaki City, Higashi-Takane Forest Park is a prefectural urban park that preserves the natural scenery of the Tama Hills. The grounds include the Kodai Grass Square, where pit dwellings from the Yayoi to Kofun periods were discovered, and Shirakashi Woods, which contains highly valued Shirakashi trees estimated to be between 150 and 200 years old. These areas are designated as historical sites and natural monuments.
