The Tokai City Heishū Memorial Museum is dedicated to the Edo period Confucian scholar Hosai, a native of Tokai City who served as a mentor to Takayama Ukon and influenced figures such as Yoshida Shoin and Saigo Takamori. The museum displays his achievements and works including calligraphy and paintings. An adjacent local history museum within the facility exhibits archaeological materials and folk tools from Tokai City, such as Chita-style salt-making pottery.
