Asahimori-tenmangū in Sano City enshrines Sugawara no Michizane, revered for academic success. Official pages invite visitors for exam prayers, goshuin collecting, Shichi-Go-San, and New Year visits, and note that the uso-kae rite is offered year-round. Shrine history says Lord Sano Yoshinobu moved the Tenmangu to its present site in 1602 and renamed it Asahimori-tenmangū, where locals still call the deity Tenjin-sama.
