Nihon Taishomura in Akechi, Ena, Gifu Prefecture, preserves a Taisho-era townscape with a stately village office, earthen-storehouse museums, and Taisho culture throughout the streets. The official site notes that Akechi once had many silk-reeling factories and still retains many buildings from that period. Regular hours are 9:00-17:00 with last admission at 16:30; from 15 December through late February hours are 10:00-16:00. The facility address is 1884-3 Akechi-cho, Ena. The village describes itself as built by hand and volunteers to recreate the atmosphere of the era between Meiji and Showa.
