Niigata Prefectural Government Memorial Hall occupies the Important Cultural Property Old Niigata Prefectural Assembly Building, completed in 1883. It is closed for seismic retrofit from December 1, 2022 through March 31, 2033; indoor visits and event bookings are suspended during this period. While closed, the prefecture publishes a 3D model of the building online. When open, the Meiji-era pseudo-Western hall at 3-3 Ichibori-dori, Chuo-ku, Niigata, can be reached by bus to Hakusan Park-mae.
