承天閣美術館

Jotenkaku Museum stands within Kyoto's Shokoku-ji temple complex and cares for artworks entrusted from Shokoku-ji, Kinkaku-ji, Ginkaku-ji, and related subtemples. The museum says it was built in April 1984 as part of Shokoku-ji's 600th-anniversary project for preservation, exhibition, conservation, research, and the sharing of Zen culture. Its holdings include five National Treasures and 145 Important Cultural Properties.
