Located in Hyogo Prefecture, the Sanin Kaigan Geopark Center is a museum centered on the Sanin Kaigan National Park. The area features diverse geological formations and landscapes formed since the creation of the Sea of Japan. This site provides opportunities to learn about local culture and history shaped by these natural backgrounds. It was recognized as a UNESCO Global Geopark in October 2010.
