Osaka Nanko Bird Sanctuary

Located in Osaka, the Osaka Nanko Bird Sanctuary is a sanctuary for wild birds established as part of a port facility. The site features an environment composed of artificial tidal flats and green spaces. Due to water pipes beneath the embankment, seawater flows in and out with the tides to create these tidal flats. These areas provide a habitat where various species, such as snipe and plovers, can be observed.
