Omachi Alpine Museum at Omachi 8056-1, Ōmachi City, Nagano Prefecture (telephone 0261-22-0211) introduces Northern Alps culture with indoor exhibits and an attached garden. Official pages list hours from 9:00 to 17:00 (last entry 16:30) in April through November, and from 10:00 to 16:00 (last entry 15:30) in December through March. Closed on Mondays, the day after public holidays, and year-end and New Year holidays, except that July and August are open every day.
