Senju Shrine in Adachi presents itself as a local guardian shrine with more than eleven centuries of history. Official shrine history says it was founded in 926 with a bunrei from Fushimi Inari for land protection and good harvests; later records link Minamoto no Yoshiie to a prayer stop here, and a Hikawa bunrei was enshrined in 1279. The main deities include Susanoo and Ukanomitama, and the grounds keep a Fuji mound and sacred ginkgo trees that survived wartime fires.
