Located in Nara Prefecture, Daianji-Hachiman Shrine was established on August 17, 807, as the guardian shrine for Daianji, one of the seven great temples of the Nanto region. The site is also known as Motoiwashimizu Hachimangu. The shrine grounds include a hall where amulets and sacred talismans are available for visitors to receive even when no staff members are present.
