Kameyama Shachū Memorial Museum

亀山社中記念館

Kameyama Shachu Memorial Museum stands on the site of Sakamoto Ryoma’s 1865 trading company and private navy, formed with about twenty comrades with support from Satsuma and the Kozone merchant house. Official tourism pages describe the 2009 restoration of the timber house with rooms and a mezzanine, displays of boots, pistols, letter copies and photographs, and note actor Tetsuya Takeda as honorary director.
