Takaragaike Park

宝が池公園

Located in Kyoto Prefecture, Takaragaike Park was originally created as an irrigation pond during the mid-Edo period. The site became a public park and underwent significant development starting in the late 1940s. The grounds feature various areas including a children's garden, a lily garden, and a bird sanctuary. The park is also known for its population of common mergansers that visit during the winter months.
